OCD and Anxiety Online

Disclaimer

Last updated October 2, 2026

This disclaimer covers www.ocd-anxiety.com and everything on it, including courses, free tests, videos, worksheets, emails, community spaces, and any other content or products we offer (together, "the site"). The site is owned and operated by Bridgestone Counseling LLC, doing business as OCD and Anxiety Online ("we," "us," or "our").

By using the site, you agree to this disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. If you have questions, contact us here.

This site is education, not therapy. Nothing here is therapy, a diagnosis, or medical advice, and it doesn't replace care from a licensed provider.

It isn't for emergencies. If you're in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself or someone else, call or text 988 in the US, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. We don't monitor emails, comments, or community spaces for emergencies.

Education, not therapy

The site is for information and education about OCD, anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviors, tics, depression, and evidence-based treatment like exposure and response prevention (ERP). Any coaching or group program we offer is also educational and isn't therapy.

Using the site, buying a course, joining a community space, commenting, or emailing us doesn't create a therapist and client relationship, or any other professional relationship, with Nathan Peterson, LCSW, or anyone else connected to the site. If therapy services are offered, they're provided separately, through a separate practice and a separate agreement.

What you share isn't confidential

Messages, test answers, comments, and community posts aren't confidential the way therapy communications are. Don't send anything you need kept private. A message to us won't get a clinical response, and you shouldn't wait on a reply if you need help.

The site isn't a HIPAA-covered service, and information you share through it isn't protected health information under HIPAA. How we collect and use information is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Talk to a professional

The site isn't a substitute for advice from your physician, psychiatrist, therapist, or other licensed professional. Talk to a qualified provider before making changes to your treatment, medication, supplements, or health care. Don't stop or change a medication without talking to the person who prescribed it.

Free tests and check-ins

Our tests and in-course check-ins are screening and self-reflection tools. They aren't diagnostic, and a result doesn't mean you have or don't have any condition. Only a licensed professional who evaluates you can make a diagnosis. Results are a snapshot of how you answered on one day. How we handle the information you submit is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Exposure exercises

ERP involves facing situations, thoughts, and feelings you've been avoiding, and it's supposed to be uncomfortable. Go at a pace you can manage. Never do an exposure that puts you or anyone else in real physical danger, breaks the law, or goes against medical advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of fainting, check with your doctor before doing exposures that involve physical sensations.

If you choose to do exposures or any other exercise from the site on your own, you do so voluntarily and accept the risks that come with it.

Children and teens

The site is intended for adults 18 and older. Some courses, such as Kids Master OCD, are designed for children and teens. Those courses are meant to be purchased by a parent or guardian and used with their involvement. If you're under 18, use the site only with a parent's or guardian's permission. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a minor's use of the site.

Community spaces and memberships

Our community spaces, including Patreon, Discord, and Facebook groups, are peer support. They aren't therapy, and posting in them doesn't create a professional relationship with Nathan Peterson or anyone else.

  • Other members can see what you post and the name you use. You can use an alias.
  • Posts from other members are their own opinions and experiences, not advice from us.
  • We moderate these spaces, but we can't review every post as it happens.
  • We can remove any member or cancel any membership at any time, without notice.

Testimonials

Testimonials and reviews on the site are real experiences from real people, shared voluntarily. They aren't typical or guaranteed results. Your experience may be different. If someone received anything in exchange for a testimonial, such as free access or payment, we'll say so next to it.

No guarantees

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee that all content is complete, current, or free of errors, or that it applies to your situation. We don't promise any particular result from using the site or any course, product, or service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of the site or any course, product, or service offered on it. You use the site at your own risk and are responsible for your own decisions.

Affiliate links and sponsorships

Some links on the site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. If we ever publish sponsored content, we'll label it clearly.

Outside links

The site links to other websites and services. Linking to or mentioning another company, product, or service isn't an endorsement, and we aren't responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.

Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer at any time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
